Xiaomi’s SU7 has made waves in the EV market, surpassing 100,000 units sold in just months. Now, the company is gearing up for its next big launch: the YU7, an SUV inspired by Ferrari’s Purosangue. CEO Lei Jun confirmed the YU7 will hit the streets in 2025, with prototype models already spotted in China. While the design is similar to earlier images, seeing the YU7 on the road offers a clearer glimpse of its real-world presence.
The SUV is expected to be priced between CNY 300,000 (€36,900) and CNY 400,000 (€49,600), with a launch slated for mid-2025. The YU7 boasts impressive specs, including a dual-motor system producing 691hp, a top speed of 253 km/h, and advanced features like LiDAR and a large battery. It’s shaping up to directly compete with Tesla’s Model Y.
