“Xiaomi’s YU7 Electric SUV Nears Market Launch”

Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun confirmed the YU7 electric SUV, the company’s second EV, is undergoing rigorous road testing ahead of its market launch in June or July 2024. Jun emphasized the importance of detailed testing to ensure product quality. The YU7 follows the design language of the popular Xiaomi SU7, with a closed-off front, familiar headlights, and a sporty rear profile featuring a full-width tail light and roof spoiler.

Measuring 4,999 mm in length and powered by a dual-motor system, the YU7 delivers a total power output of 508 kW. It features a spacious 5-seat configuration, though a 7-seater version might be in the works. With a 101 kWh battery, the SUV promises a solid driving range. While pricing is still unknown, the YU7 is expected to be more expensive than the SU7, which is priced from RMB 215,900.
