The upcoming Xiaomi 16 has surfaced in fresh leaks, revealing what fans can expect from the brand’s next flagship. Shared by reliable Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, the phone is set to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, making it one of the first devices to sport the upcoming processor.

Camera enthusiasts will be pleased with a triple 50 MP rear camera setup, consisting of a 1/1.3″ main sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a telemacro shooter. Interestingly, earlier rumors hinted at a periscope telephoto, but the latest leak doesn’t confirm this detail. The Xiaomi 16 is also tipped to pack a sizable 6,500+ mAh battery alongside a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with ultra-thin bezels.

Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 at the end of September, so Xiaomi might time the 16’s debut around then. As always, more leaks are expected in the coming weeks as the launch window approaches.
