India’s first solar-powered electric car, the Vayve Eva, is set to be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Developed by Pune-based Vayve Mobility, this innovative vehicle boasts solar-charging capabilities, providing an additional 8 km of daily range or 3,000 km annually through solar power.
The Vayve Eva combines solar energy with a 250 km battery range and offers impressive features, including fast charging (50 km range in just 5 minutes), OTA updates, and smartphone integration. With an affordable running cost of Rs. 0.50/km, the car is designed to cater to urban commuters. The Vayve Eva is expected to be priced at Rs. 7 to 8 lakhs (ex-showroom), offering an economical solution for daily city travel.
