Tata Motors has confirmed the highly anticipated return of the Sierra SUV in late 2025, with both internal combustion engine (ICE) and all-electric powertrain options. The electric variant will be the first to launch, based on the new Gen 2 EV platform from the Harrier EV, followed by the ICE version, built on Tata’s new ATLAS platform. The refreshed Sierra will be available with a petrol, diesel, or electric powertrain, marking a major comeback for the brand’s first-ever SUV, originally launched in 1991.
The 2025 Sierra will feature a blend of heritage and modern design elements, including a 5-door configuration, large alpine windows, flush door handles, and a connected LED DRL strip. Inside, it will offer a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and advanced safety features like ADAS, multiple airbags, and an electronic parking brake. The electric version will boast a range of up to 500 km.
