Sony has officially unveiled the Xperia 1 VII, keeping its signature design but delivering key upgrades where it counts. The new model introduces Snapdragon 8 Elite power, improved stereo speakers, and a larger sensor for the ultrawide camera while retaining fan-favorite features like the 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD slot.

The triple-camera setup now includes a brighter f/2.0 16mm ultrawide lens with a 1/1.56-inch sensor 2.1x larger than before. Alongside are a 24mm main camera and an 85-170mm telephoto with continuous optical zoom and telemacro. Sony’s Alpha AI tech powers real-time eye AF, AI subject recognition, HDR, and enhanced white balance.

Packing a 6.5-inch 120Hz OLED Bravia display, a 5,000mAh battery, Wi-Fi 7, and a titanium-grade audio circuit, it promises pro-level media and gaming chops. Launching in Slate Black, Moss Green, and Orchid Purple, the Xperia 1 VII is priced at £1,399/€1,499 with shipping set for June.
