Siri’s Major Overhaul for iOS 18 Delayed, May Not Arrive Until Late 2025

Apple’s highly anticipated Siri enhancements for iOS 18 may take longer than expected to roll out. Originally rumored for iOS 18.4 in April, a Bloomberg report now suggests that internal testing issues have pushed some of these features to May or later, possibly arriving in iOS 18.5 but disabled at launch.

The delays impact features like Personal Context Understanding, In-App Actions, and Onscreen Awareness, which were showcased at WWDC 2024. These updates aim to make Siri more intuitive, allowing it to understand follow-up questions and perform multi-step tasks within apps.

While Apple hasn’t confirmed an official launch timeline, more Siri and AI advancements are expected to be revealed at WWDC 2025 in June, likely as part of iOS 19.
