Samsung’s first-ever tri-fold smartphone, rumored to be called the Galaxy G Fold, could see a limited release in just Korea and China, according to a GSM Association database listing. The device, codenamed Q7M, appears under model numbers SM-F968N and SM-F9680, suggesting exclusive availability for Samsung’s home market and China.

This strategy is not new, Samsung followed a similar approach with the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition last year. The listing also hints at a possible October 2025 launch, considering Samsung’s history of adding devices to the GSMA database 6-7 months before release.

🚀 Why the limited release?
Reports suggest that Samsung is keeping production low, likely to test market reception before a potential wider rollout. If successful, the tri-fold could redefine the foldable smartphone segment with its unique design and expanded functionality.
