Samsung Showcases Project Moohan XR Headset at Galaxy Unpacked

At its 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Series and teased a new XR headset under its “Project Moohan” initiative. The headset, a collaboration with Google, will operate on the Android XR OS designed for immersive devices. Project Moohan aims to target developers in late 2025 before a broader consumer release.

The headset features cutting-edge specs, including the Snapdragon XR2 chipset, ultra-high-resolution OELDoS displays, advanced eye and hand tracking, and support for 12 cameras. It promises a premium AR/VR experience with a price likely exceeding $2,000.

Samsung’s XR device directly competes with Apple’s Vision Pro, addressing its shortcomings while adopting features from Meta’s Quest Pro. This marks Samsung’s entry into the growing immersive content market, aiming to redefine how users interact with 3D environments.

More details, including availability and pricing, are expected as the launch approaches. The initial release will likely target select countries.
