Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip7 is due for an early July debut alongside the Fold7, and rumors about its chipset situation have taken a fresh twist. While an earlier benchmark hinted that the Exynos 2500 would power the Flip7 worldwide, a new Korean report suggests otherwise.

According to local sources, Samsung plans to reserve the Exynos 2500 for the Korean market alone. Meanwhile, every other region including the US will reportedly get the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead. This aligns with earlier leaks indicating that the Galaxy Z Fold7 would exclusively use Snapdragon chips globally. It’s a confusing situation, but it appears Exynos fans outside Korea might be out of luck.

If confirmed, this would still mark a milestone as the Exynos 2500 makes its long-delayed debut inside a Samsung foldable. Initially intended for the Galaxy S25, yield issues kept it sidelined until now. Foldable fans worldwide will want to keep an eye on this one.
