OnePlus has officially announced its Summer Launch event, set for July 8, and it’s packed with hardware reveals. The brand will unveil five new devices, though availability will vary by region. Europe and India are getting most of the lineup, while the US will miss out on the mainline Nord phones as usual.
The event highlights include a smaller OnePlus Watch 3 (43mm) and the OnePlus Buds 4, which promise dual drivers, dual DACs, Hi-Res LHDC 5.0, 3D Audio, and impressively low 47ms latency in Game Mode — though this will likely be optimized for OnePlus phones. The Buds 4 will be offered in Zen Green and Storm Gray finishes. Fans of the current Buds 3 should pay attention here.
Also coming is the OnePlus Pad Lite, an entry-level Android tablet aimed at affordable entertainment and productivity. Available initially in Europe in an Aero Blue colorway, official specs remain under wraps, but it’s expected to offer a budget alternative to the flagship Pad 3.
On the smartphone front, the OnePlus Nord 5 will become the first Nord-series phone with a Snapdragon 8-series chip, specifically the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, supporting Snapdragon Elite gaming features and LPDDR5X RAM. It’ll launch in a Dry Ice blue finish in Europe. The Nord CE 5 will come in a Marble Mist colorway, targeting the mid-range Android market with a Dimensity 8350 chip.
I’m personally most curious about the Buds 4, since I’ve regularly recommended the Buds 3 over pricier Pro options. A dual-driver system and Hi-Res audio at a mid-tier price would make them a standout in 2025’s wireless earbuds market. The 43mm Watch 3 is also a welcome option for smaller wrists, addressing a valid complaint about the standard 47mm model’s heft.
