MediaTek is reportedly gearing up to release the Dimensity 9400+ chipset this quarter, with a possible launch in March, according to leakster Digital Chat Station. The updated processor will feature an overclocked CPU, enhancing performance beyond the standard Dimensity 9400, where the Cortex-X925 core operates at 3.63 GHz. The Plus variant is expected to push this to 3.7 GHz.
Two upcoming smartphones are rumored to debut with the Dimensity 9400+: a compact device with a periscope camera and a larger cameraphone, both featuring flat displays. Speculation points to models like the vivo X200S and Oppo Find X8S.
Unlike MediaTek’s usual late-year Plus variant releases, the Dimensity 9400+ is launching earlier, signaling rapid adoption by manufacturers. This chipset aims to elevate flagship performance and maintain MediaTek’s competitive edge in the high-end smartphone market.
