Jaguar is taking a bold new direction by ending production of all its current vehicles, including the electric I-Pace, by the end of 2024. After a brief hiatus, the company will return in 2026 with a completely reinvented lineup of all-electric cars. This “clean-slate” approach is aimed at transforming Jaguar into a luxury electric powerhouse.
The first of these new EVs will be a £100,000, four-door GT, boasting over 400 miles of range, two motors, and nearly 600 horsepower. This will be followed by a plush SUV and a luxury saloon designed to rival the likes of Bentley. Jaguar’s gamble is significant, especially as it aims to compete with its more successful siblings, Range Rover and Land Rover. The reinvention began with the unveiling of the dramatic Type 00 concept car in Miami in December, marking the beginning of Jaguar’s ambitious push into the high-end electric vehicle market.
