Although the iPhone 17 launch is still far off, rumors are already surfacing. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 17 Pro Max may feature a slimmer Dynamic Island, thanks to metalens Face ID components that reduce its size.

Metalenses are ultra-thin optical lenses that manipulate light at a microscopic level, allowing for more compact designs. This breakthrough could eventually extend to future iPad Pro models and Apple’s rumored foldable iPad, expected next year.

However, this claim contradicts analyst Ming Chi Kuo’s report, which suggests that the iPhone 17 series will retain the same Dynamic Island design as the iPhone 16 lineup. With no official confirmation, these reports remain speculative for now.
