Honda Teams Up with Huawei for “Ye” EV Brand’s Self-Driving Tech

Honda has partnered with Huawei to integrate advanced self-driving technology into its new EV brand, “Ye,” targeting the Chinese market. This strategic move comes as Honda faces declining sales in China and seeks to bolster its position in the competitive electric vehicle sector.

Launched in April 2024, the “Ye” brand is set to release three models—Ye P7, Ye S7, and Ye GT. Initially slated for late 2024, the P7 and S7 launches have been delayed to Q1 2025. By adopting Huawei’s smart driving solutions, Honda addresses regulatory challenges and accelerates deployment. Analysts suggest buyers may choose between models equipped with Honda Sensing 360+ or Huawei’s system.

With two EV factories in China and an annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles per facility, Honda is poised to make a strong comeback in the Chinese NEV market.
