New rumors suggest that Grand Theft Auto 6 could incorporate user-generated content (UGC), allowing players to modify assets and environments, much like Fortnite and Roblox. Reports from Digiday, citing industry insiders, indicate that Rockstar is exploring a creator-driven approach to expand GTA 6 online ecosystem. While details remain vague, Rockstar’s acquisition of CFX.RE, the team behind GTA Online’s roleplay servers, signals the company’s ongoing interest in community driven content.
Rockstar officially revealed GTA 6 in 2023, introducing Jason and Lucia as protagonists and confirming a return to Vice City. The trailer amassed over 220 million views, but official updates have been scarce. With Rockstar launching a GTA 6 Discord server, more news could be on the way.
The game is expected to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in Fall 2025, with a PC release likely in early 2026.
