Google Photos is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a major update, introducing a redesigned AI-powered photo editor and new sharing features. The refreshed editor brings Pixel-exclusive tools like Reimagine and Auto Frame to all users, offering smarter, faster ways to enhance photos with generative AI. Now, you can swap a gloomy sky for sunny blue skies or get smart framing suggestions that crop or expand images with AI assistance.

Beyond creative edits, the update streamlines photo adjustments with AI Enhance, which combines effects like sharpening and object removal in a single tap. Users can also select specific areas of a photo, such as a face or background, to receive context-aware AI suggestions for lighting, blurring, or enhancements. The redesigned editor puts all tools in one easy-access menu for a smoother workflow.

Additionally, Google has introduced a new QR code sharing feature, letting users instantly share albums by generating scannable codes. These updates start rolling out to Android in June, with iOS to follow later this year.
