Google has introduced Gemini with personalization, an experimental AI model that tailors responses based on users’ search history. Initially available to Gemini and Gemini Advanced subscribers, this feature is rolling out on the web and will gradually expand to mobile. However, it won’t be available in the EU, Switzerland, or the UK due to privacy regulations.

For now, Gemini’s personalization is limited to Google Search history, but it will soon integrate with Google Photos and YouTube to enhance insights. Users remain in control, with clear privacy safeguards allowing them to disconnect their data at any time. Gemini will only use search history when its AI determines it will improve the response.

Early testers have found it useful for brainstorming, travel planning, and personalized recommendations. As AI-powered assistants become more intuitive, Gemini’s personalization is another step toward AI that truly understands its users.
