Galaxy S25 Ultra Fails 6ft Drop Test, Raising Questions About Gorilla Armor 2

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, touted as the most durable Galaxy S device ever, failed to withstand a 6ft drop onto concrete in a recent test. While Corning claimed Gorilla Armor 2 could survive drops of up to 7.2ft, a real-world drop test by Allstate Protection Plans proved otherwise.

The test showed that the display shattered and became unresponsive after a face-down drop, while the back panel also cracked upon impact. The titanium frame picked up scuffs but remained intact. This follows durability tests by YouTuber JerryRigEverything, which found no significant scratch resistance improvements over its predecessor.

Users are advised to use a case and screen protector for added protection. Alternatively, Samsung Care Plus or third-party insurance plans can help cover accidental damage costs.
