In an unexpected move, Playground Games has confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 will be making its debut on PS5 this spring. Developed in collaboration with Panic Button, Turn 10 Studios, and Playground Games, the PS5 version will mirror the content of the Xbox and PC releases, including car packs and the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions.

This move aligns with Xbox’s broader strategy to expand its game offerings beyond Xbox consoles, with games like Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle already making the transition to PlayStation. Xbox’s Phil Spencer also mentioned plans to support the Nintendo Switch 2, signaling a push for more cross-platform availability.

Forza Horizon 5 is an open-world racing game set in beautiful Mexico, offering an arcade-style experience with exploration alongside high-speed racing.
