Mercedes has officially unveiled its 2025 Formula 1 challenger, the W16, as the team embarks on a new era without Lewis Hamilton. The digital launch comes just ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain, where George Russell and rookie Kimi Antonelli will take the car to the track. Valtteri Bottas returns as a reserve driver.
Following a mixed 2024 season with only four race wins, Mercedes is aiming to reclaim its dominance. Team principal Toto Wolff expects an ultra-competitive season, while Russell is determined to fight for the drivers’ championship if given the right machinery. Antonelli, at just 18, is set to make his F1 debut, adding fresh excitement to the team’s lineup. Pre-season testing kicks off in Bahrain this week.
