Disney Star has hinted at the imminent launch of JioHotstar, the anticipated streaming platform emerging from the Disney, Reliance, and Viacom18 merger. A teaser video posted on X featured the message, “A new era begins,” sparking speculation about the official rebranding. While earlier reports suggested the platform might be called JioStar, new leaks point to JioHotstar as the final name.
The platform is expected to integrate content from Disney+ Hotstar and Jio Cinema, including major sports events like the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Additionally, some Jio Cinema users have reported autopay subscription cancellations, possibly signaling an upcoming migration to the new platform.
An official announcement is expected soon, as the OTT giant gears up to redefine digital entertainment in India.
