Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Releases June 26 – Preorders Open March 17

Hideo Kojima confirmed at SXSW 2025 that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on June 26 for PlayStation 5. The highly anticipated sequel sees the return of Sam Porter Bridges alongside new cast members, with preorders set to open on March 17 at 10:00 AM Eastern. The game will continue exploring themes of human connectivity in a vast post-apocalyptic world, featuring the Social Strand system and open-ended encounters.

During the SXSW panel, Kojima unveiled a 10-minute trailer showcasing in-game footage, frantic action sequences, and deep character interactions. The game will be available in Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99, includes in-game items like an MP bullet machine gun and patches. The Collector’s Edition features a 15-inch Magellan Man statue, a 3-inch Dollman figurine, art cards, and a letter from Kojima.
