Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to come with a staggering price tag of around $2,300, making it nearly twice as expensive as the iPhone 16 Pro Max and even costlier than the M4 Max Mac Studio. Analysts predict a 7.8-inch inner display, a titanium body, and a high density battery, but no Face ID. The high-tech folding display is likely the key factor behind the steep pricing.

Barclays analyst Tim Long suggests that the foldable iPhone could hit the market between late 2026 and early 2027. This aligns with previous predictions from Ming-Chi Kuo, who estimated a price range of $2,000–$2,500. Apple’s pricing strategy could make this device one of the most expensive foldables in the market.

With Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6 priced at $1,899 and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold at $1,799, Apple will need to justify the premium cost with cutting-edge innovation and seamless usability.
