The MacBook Air has lagged behind the MacBook Pro in Apple Silicon updates, but this release will bring it up to speed. While no design changes are expected, the M4 chip promises incremental CPU and GPU performance gains over the M3, alongside a more powerful neural engine for AI tasks. Pricing is expected to remain unchanged, with the 13-inch M4 MacBook Air likely starting at $1,099.

Apple may also unveil refreshed 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models with the M3 chip. However, rumors of an ‘iPhone 17 Air’ suggest it won’t make an appearance at this event.
