Apple iPad (2025) Debuts with A16 Chip, 128GB Base Storage, No Apple Intelligence

Apple has introduced the iPad (2025), the 11th generation of its baseline tablet, featuring a binned version of the A16 chip. This is a notable upgrade from the A14 chip found in its predecessor. However, despite the performance boost, the new iPad does not support Apple Intelligence, likely due to hardware limitations, including RAM capacity. To compensate, Apple has doubled the base storage to 128GB while keeping the starting price unchanged at $349 for the Wi-Fi variant and $499 for the cellular model.

Apart from the chipset and storage bump, the new iPad remains largely unchanged. It continues to feature an 11-inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD, a 12MP front and rear camera setup, and a Touch ID sensor embedded in the power button. The device also introduces Bluetooth 5.3, replacing the older 5.2 version. Apple has maintained the same color options as before, offering the iPad in Silver, Blue, Pink, and Yellow.

While the iPad (2025) lacks advanced features seen in the iPad Air, it delivers solid improvements for budget-conscious users. Pre-orders are now live, with the official launch set for March 12. Buyers can choose from storage variants up to 512GB, making this a compelling choice for those needing more space without upgrading to higher-end models.
