Apple’s ambitious AI-powered Siri upgrade has reportedly been delayed until May 2025, according to Bloomberg. Initially set to debut in iOS 18.4, the first developer beta shipped without any Siri enhancements, fueling speculation that Apple is struggling with its AI rollout. While Siri will gain limited Apple Intelligence integration this year, the full AI transformation is now expected in iOS 19, scheduled for Spring 2026.

Even then, users may not see significant improvements, as Apple is reportedly focused on fixing earlier AI promises rather than introducing new features. This means true AI-powered Siri capabilities, such as enhanced conversational abilities and deeper contextual understanding, may not arrive until 2027.

The delay puts Apple at a disadvantage against competitors like Amazon, which is preparing an advanced AI-driven Alexa. With WWDC 2025 approaching, Apple may have to settle for showcasing only incremental AI improvements rather than a revolutionary Siri overhaul.
