Android Auto 14.1 beta introduces in-car gaming with titles like Angry Birds 2, Beach Buggy Racing, and Candy Crush Soda Saga. Designed to work only when parked, this update enhances in car entertainment for drivers waiting in traffic or charging their EVs.

With full-screen mode, games now take over the entire infotainment display, departing from Android Auto’s usual split screen interface. To exit a game, users can simply swipe down to reveal the Exit button. While most games perform well, Angry Birds 2 has experienced some connectivity issues, whereas Beach Buggy Racing oddly displayed tilt controls despite being played on a fixed screen.

For safety reasons, the gameplay stops as soon as the vehicle starts moving. Currently, Android Auto 14.1 is only available in beta, and Google has not confirmed if the gaming feature will make it to the stable version. Those interested can try joining the Google Play Store beta program, but slots are limited.
