Google has officially confirmed that Android 16 will arrive earlier than usual, with a launch window expected between April and June 2025. Following the release of Android 15, the Android 16 update is set to bring significant changes, with Q2 2025 as the target release timeframe, and a possible date of June 3, 2025. The update is already available in Developer Preview 2, and Google plans to release a minor update, possibly named Android 16.1, in Q4 2024 as part of Android’s quarterly patch strategy. While new features are still under wraps, Android 16 is expected to continue improving performance and user experience on the Pixel lineup.
