Android 16 Beta 3 Set for March 13 Release

Google has confirmed that Android 16 Beta 3 will be released on March 13, as teased on the official Android Developers X account. The update will be available as an over the air (OTA) download, with manual installation options expected as well. However, the rollout may be staggered, meaning not all users will receive the update at the same time.

This beta release is primarily for developers, meaning there may be few user-facing changes. The final Android 16 release is scheduled for June 3, giving Google nearly three months to refine the OS. While major updates may come in later betas, Android 16 is expected to bring features like HDR screenshots, “Live Notifications” for real time updates, and an improved Desktop Mode.
