With Samsung gearing up for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 next month, Xiaomi isn’t waiting around. The company just confirmed the launch of its Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 this Thursday in China, and it’s already stealing some spotlight. Xiaomi dropped teaser images and a short video on Weibo, giving us a clear first look at its upcoming clamshell foldable and yes, it’s sleek.

Among the early highlights, the Mix Flip 2 sports a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and an eye-popping 5,165mAh battery. That’s a bigger cell than even the Galaxy S25 Ultra impressive for a compact foldable. Xiaomi’s also backing it up with 50W wireless charging, positioning it as one of the fastest-charging flip phones to date.
Design-wise, the Mix Flip 2 is aiming for refinement. The phone features a dual-camera setup with Leica branding, a 4.01-inch micro-curved cover display, and a 6.86-inch ultra-flat folding screen. Xiaomi claims the crease will remain less than 50 microns deep even after 200,000 folds roughly half the thickness of a sheet of paper. For comparison, that’s competitive with Samsung’s upcoming Z Flip 6 and far ahead of early-gen foldables.

At just 7.57mm thick and weighing 199 grams, it’s also one of the slimmest flip phones around. There’s no official word yet on global availability Xiaomi’s launching the Mix Flip 2 in China first but with specs like this, it’ll likely catch the attention of foldable fans worldwide.
We’ll get full details during the official launch event on Thursday, so stay tuned for the final specs, pricing, and whether a global rollout might actually happen this time.
