Adobe Photoshop’s beta app has officially landed on Android, following its earlier iOS debut. Now available for free via Google Play, the app offers Android users a mobile version of the iconic image editing software, packing in a surprisingly robust feature set for its beta stage.

To run the app, users will need a device with Android 11 or later and at least 6GB of RAM, though Adobe recommends 8GB for the best experience. The mobile Photoshop beta covers core desktop features like layers, masks, selections, and blending, alongside mobile-specific tools such as Tap Select and the Spot Healing Brush for quick edits on the go.

One of the standout features is Firefly-powered Generative AI, including Generative Fill, enabling users to effortlessly add or modify elements in images. There’s also access to free Adobe Stock assets, advanced selection tools, and familiar editing staples like Clone Stamp and adjustment layers. Adobe confirmed that all tools are free during beta, with more features promised soon.
