Google’s ‘Find My Device’ Gets a New Name: Meet Find Hub

Google is officially rebranding its Find My Device app to Find Hub across Android phones, the Play Store, and the web. Announced during The Android Show: I/O Edition, this move reflects the app’s expanded role in locating not just devices, but also friends and family.

The update, rolling out widely via the Play Store, removes the “Beta” label from the People tab, signaling a stable public release. Inside the app, Settings now offers two distinct options: Find Hub for device tracking settings like Remote Lock and offline finding, and Google Location Sharing for managing personal location permissions.

Looking ahead, Google plans to upgrade Find Hub with ultra-wideband (UWB) and satellite connectivity for precise, reliable location tracking. Though not yet live, these features will enable users to track tags like the Moto Tag and compatible phones with exact direction and distance details.

The website version of Find Hub is expected to adopt the new branding and navigation updates in the coming weeks.
