Xiaomi’s upcoming 15S Pro smartphone, powered by its in-house Xring O1 chipset, has achieved a 2.5 million score on AnTuTu equaling the Snapdragon 8 Elite inside the Xiaomi 15 Pro. The benchmark result was shared on Weibo by Xiaomu Technology, showing the Xring O1 matching top-tier Snapdragon performance in its very first outing.

The result is especially notable since AnTuTu evaluates more than just chip performance RAM, storage, and thermal management also play a role. In this test, the 15S Pro was running 16GB RAM (plus 6GB virtual), compared to the 15 Pro’s 12GB (plus 4GB virtual). Still, it’s an impressive debut for Xiaomi’s self-developed SoC team, whose last major effort, the Surge S1, dates back years.

This milestone doesn’t signal a breakup with Qualcomm though. The two firms recently inked a fresh partnership to collaborate on premium smartphones, wearables, tablets, and XR devices. Xiaomi will also be among the first to integrate future Snapdragon 8-series chips.
