Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s freshly unveiled Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This upcoming device, dubbed the Civi 5 Pro, will be the direct successor to last year’s Civi 4 Pro and could hit the market soon. The phone recently surfaced on Geekbench, confirming it’ll pack the new chipset alongside a prototype featuring a hefty 16GB of RAM.

While the Geekbench listing didn’t reveal much else, the Civi 5 Pro is expected to debut with Android 15 and Xiaomi’s HyperOS right out of the box. Its predecessor, the Civi 4 Pro, made headlines for bringing flagship-grade camera hardware and sleek aesthetics at a mid-range price, so expectations are high for this follow-up.

As with previous Civi devices, the Civi 5 Pro will likely remain a China-exclusive model. However, Xiaomi has occasionally introduced select Civi phones to India under different branding, so an international variant remains a possibility.
