Samsung has reportedly kicked off mass production of its next-generation foldables but the highly anticipated tri-fold model isn’t quite there yet. According to reliable leakster Max Jambor, production of key components for the upcoming Galaxy Z series began in mid-February, and assembly of actual devices is now underway.

The Galaxy Z Flip7, internally known as B7, is getting notable upgrades. Its inner display reportedly measures 6.85 inches, up from the Z Flip6’s 6.7 inches, with a new 4-inch edge-to-edge cover display replacing the older 3.4-inch one. This should deliver a roomier, more immersive experience both inside and out.

However, the triple foldable device codenamed Q7M, likely to launch as Galaxy G Fold hasn’t entered mass production yet. While Samsung started making parts for it in late March, its limited availability (rumored at 200,000 units globally) might explain the delay. The tri-fold is still expected to debut alongside the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 later this year.
