Samsung Electronics has announced a major collaboration with NVIDIA to push AI-RAN (Artificial Intelligence in Radio Access Networks) technology forward. This partnership enhances Samsung’s software-based network capabilities by integrating NVIDIA’s AI platform, unlocking greater efficiency and performance in mobile networks.

A key milestone was the successful interoperability test between Samsung’s O-RAN compliant vRAN and NVIDIA’s accelerated computing. Samsung’s AI-powered vRAN software, now optimized for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) servers, will leverage NVIDIA’s Grace CPU and CUDA-based GPU acceleration. This innovation will enable optimized AI-RAN solutions for various network environments, from rural to dense urban areas.

At MWC 2025, Samsung demonstrated AI-RAN capabilities, including AI-based uplink estimation and non-uniform modulation, reinforcing its leadership in next gen telecom. As a founding member of the AI-RAN Alliance, Samsung is driving the industry toward AI-native wireless networks, offering flexible, software-driven solutions that will shape the future of mobile communications.
