Apple’s iOS 18.3.2 Fixes Major Exploit but Re-Enables AI by Default

Apple has rolled out iOS 18.3.2 and iPadOS 18.3.2, addressing a critical security flaw previously patched in iOS 17.2. This vulnerability allowed malicious web content to break out of the Web Content sandbox and was used in targeted attacks. Apple urges users to update immediately to stay protected.

However, users have reported that Apple Intelligence is automatically re-enabled after updating, even if it was previously turned off. A mandatory splash screen forces users to tap “Continue,” activating AI features again. To disable it, users must manually toggle it off in Settings > Apple Intelligence, regaining up to 7GB of storage.

Alongside iOS and iPadOS, Apple has also released macOS 15.3.2, visionOS 2.3.2, and tvOS 18.3.1, focusing on security and bug fixes. Apple has yet to fully disclose the specifics of the security patches, but more details are expected soon on its Security Releases page.
