Sony Xperia 1 VII to Feature Exmor T Sensors on All Rear Cameras

Sony is set to significantly enhance the camera experience on the Xperia 1 VII by incorporating the Exmor T sensor across all three rear cameras. This marks a major upgrade from the previous model, which only featured this sensor on the primary camera.

The Exmor T is Sony’s latest stacked CMOS sensor, offering improved low-light performance and a higher dynamic range by reducing noise compared to the older Exmor RS. However, despite the sensor upgrade, the Xperia 1 VII is expected to retain the same camera specs: a 52 MP (48 MP effective) main camera, along with 12 MP ultrawide and 12 MP telephoto sensors.

With the last three Xperia 1 models launching in Q2, the Xperia 1 VII is expected to debut in May. More leaks and official teasers are anticipated in the coming weeks, revealing additional details about Sony’s upcoming flagship.
