Google’s Gemini App Gets Experimental 2.0 Models With Enhanced Reasoning

Google has rolled out new experimental models for its Gemini app, introducing Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking and Gemini 2.0 Pro. The Flash Thinking model, available for free, enhances reasoning by breaking down prompts into steps, allowing users to trace its thought process.

Meanwhile, Gemini Advanced subscribers gain access to Gemini 2.0 Pro, designed for complex tasks like coding and math with improved factual accuracy. Though AI models don’t truly “reason,” Google aims to make their responses more transparent.

Both models are now rolling out to the Gemini mobile app and web interface, with Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users set to receive them soon. This update marks another step in AI evolution, providing better insights into how AI arrives at its conclusions.
