BMW has unveiled the 2026 iX with significant upgrades, including new trims, a larger battery, and enhanced efficiency. The refreshed iX replaces previous trims with the xDrive45, xDrive60, and M70, offering more range and power. The xDrive45 features a 100.1 kWh battery, providing 279-312 miles of range, while the xDrive60 boasts a larger 113.4 kWh battery, delivering 316-340 miles. The M70, with a 112.6 kWh battery, offers 283-302 miles.
The upgraded silicon carbide inverter enhances energy transmission, improving efficiency by 10%. Power increases across the board, with the xDrive45 offering 402 hp, the xDrive60 536 hp, and the M70 reaching 650 hp in Boost Mode. Visual changes include sportier accents and new color options.
BMW aims to regain momentum with the iX, offering a more affordable entry-level variant starting at $75,150. Deliveries are expected to begin in Q2 2025.
