Truecaller for iOS Now Blocks Spam Calls Automatically

Truecaller has rolled out a major update for its iOS app, bringing it on par with its Android counterpart. The update introduces automatic blocking of spam and unknown calls, a feature iOS users have long awaited. This functionality leverages iOS 18’s new Live Caller ID Lookup API, which uses advanced homomorphic encryption to enable real-time caller identification securely.

With this update, Truecaller can now automatically block scam and spam numbers without user intervention and identify up to 2000 past calls in the Recents list.

The new features are available immediately for Truecaller Premium users, while free users will continue to receive basic caller ID and number search features. This update is especially significant in markets like India, where spam calls are prevalent.
