iPhone 18 Pro to Feature Revolutionary Variable Aperture for Better Photography

Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro is expected to include a significant camera upgrade, featuring a variable aperture wide-angle lens for improved depth of field effects in photography. Initially rumored for the iPhone 17, the feature is now confirmed by TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicts the update will debut in 2026. The inclusion of a variable aperture is expected to significantly enhance user photography by allowing more control over light and focus. Currently, iPhones use a fixed aperture, limiting flexibility. However, the new system, which relies on aperture blades, will enable users to adjust the size of the lens opening for varying light conditions. This innovation could transform how iPhone users capture images, offering DSLR like control within a smartphone’s compact design.
