Kia has officially launched the Syros SUV in India, offering a unique proposition with its boxy design and several segment-first features. The Syros stands out in the market with no direct competitors, potentially making it a hit if priced right. The SUV’s exterior draws inspiration from the Kia EV9, while its interiors boast upmarket features, elevating its appeal despite being a B2 segment vehicle.
The Syros will be available with two powertrain options: a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine producing 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT transmission, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine delivering 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque, available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Automatic trims will also feature paddle shifters. Deliveries are set to begin in February 2025, with pricing expected to be revealed at the same time.
